This just didn't work well for me. Maybe I got a lemon or maybe I simply didn't use it correctly. Maybe it works better on walls then ceilings. Nonetheless I went back to my old drywall gun instead Milwaukee 6742-20 6.5 Amp Drywall Screwdriver that just works all the time.
The only reason I rate it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there are times the screws get hung up in the head. I'm building a deck around my pool and did the first 20 feet by hand (drill and individual screws). Even with the occasional jams, this has made the job go 100% faster. and should something happen to it, I'd purchase the same gun again.
This thing works great but its not perfect. Once you get the technique figured out, you can literally drive all the screws into a 10-12 foot sheet of drywall in a minute or so. It has some limitations in that its tough to get into corners and knots will result in a half depth drive, but overall this thing is slick. The key is to have the tool fully perpendicular to the surface and having a firm push. I have hung about 1600sf of drywall and I am still using the same bit. Would give it 5 stars if I didn't have to keep my trusty Makita drill around to drive the few that didn't go all the way, but overall, I will never do drywall again without one.
I've been using this for a few days now and find about 20% of the screws don't screw in all the way. I've used on floors and walls now with 1.25" and 2" screws and I have to go back and manually finish many of the screws, which seems like it negates the whole point of having a screw gun.
Initially I had some issues driving the screws in corners but once I mastered the angle and force needed it worked great. I bought this to quicken the pace on installing drywall in a garage. Worked very well. Sure beats the individual screw to screwdriver pace. The AC line cord was not an issue as far as interference and the unit is light weight and did not wear me out.I'd recommend this tool.
